There is another way to enter Machu Picchu

There is still an option for those who want to go before that date. It is the in-person sale of 1,000 tickets in the town of Machu Picchu Pueblo, which is located near the Llaqta Inka. But this sale also has new measures that the Ministry of Culture announced through a statement.

The document states that the in-person sale will be made only to visit Machu Picchu the day after purchase. The opening hours to buy tickets will be from 15.00 to 22.00 hours at the Cultural Center of the Ministry of Culture – DDC Cusco, in Machupicchu Pueblo, and will depend on availability.

Buyers will have to present their identity document. The Ministry of Culture also informed that the entrance schedules to the Llaqta Inka must be complied with in a mandatory manner, according to what is indicated on the ticket. It will not be allowed to enter Machu Picchu at a different time than the one purchased.

In case of not using the ticket on the established date and time, it will be lost and cannot be used on another occasion.
