The Trujillo Lions Club announced that this year the celebration of the 71st International Spring Festival will be held from September 23 to October 1, with various civic, cultural, artistic, sports, social and community service activities.

When will the spring parade of Trujillo take place?

One of the most awaited activities by the national and international public is the great spring parade, which will take place on October 1 and will include the participation of foreign queens and North American bastoneras. Spring Parade

This is the main attraction of the festival, with the participation of beauty queens flanked by majorettes and groups of typical Peruvian dancers, as well as allegorical floats with picturesque decorations. Paso Horse Competition

This traditional parade features the famous “chalán trujillano”. This rider, dressed in a straw hat and brown vicuña fiber poncho, demonstrates all his skill and class accompanied by a dancer. Both delight the spectators with an elegant choreography performed outdoors to the rhythm of the marinera.

Coronation of the Spring Queen

This is another activity that gathers thousands of people during the festival. In it, glamour and feminine charm come together for the pleasure and enjoyment of the public. For a few hours, different national and international ladies exhibit all their beauty parading in elegant dresses.
